LA PETITE FRANCE is one of the most picturesque districts in Strasbourg's historic centre, with its half-timbered houses, canals and cobbled streets.
Known as "Christkindelsmärik" in Alsatian, it is one of the oldest and most famous Christmas markets in Europe.
In 2024, it will take place from 27 November to 24 December in the historic centre of Strasbourg, mainly on Place Kléber with the famous Sapin, Place Broglie and its chalets, and around the cathedral.
A symbol of peace and Franco-German reconciliation, Strasbourg has been one of Europe's capitals since the end of the Second World War. It is home to the Council of Europe, the European Parliament, the Human Rights Palace, etc.
